The LG Twins showed both big balls and small balls and started to solidify their third place.

LG won the home game against the Hanwha Eagles 14-2 at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on the 8th. LG won for the second time in a row and secured its 68th win (two draws and 61 losses) of the season. Hanwha has lost two games in a row. The season record was 60 wins, 2 draws and 66 losses.

On this day, LG formed the starting lineup in the order of Hong Chang-ki (designated hitter), Kim Hyun-soo (left fielder), Austin Dean (first baseman), Moon Bo-kyung (third baseman), Oh Ji-hwan (striker), Park Dong-won (catcher), Park Hae-min (middle fielder), Koo Bon-hyuk (second baseman), and Lee Young-bin (right fielder).

Hanwha started the bullpen in the third inning. Cho Dong-wook went down and Kim Ki-joong came up. LG's leadoff hitter Moon Bo-kyung hit a hit, and Oh Ji-hwan's walk and Park Dong-won's ground ball made it 1 out and 2nd and 3rd base. Park Hae-min's strikeout drove him to two outs, but he added a point with his eighth successful triple steal in KBO league history following Koo Bon-hyuk's walk. Later, Lee Young-bin's three-run home run widened the score to 6-0. Lee Young-bin was able to shake off the disappointment of hitting his first home run of the season without video reading against KIA in Gwangju on the 3rd.

Hanwha changed its mood with Chae Eun-sung's walk and Kim Tae-yeon's two-run home run in the top of the fourth inning. However, LG ran to 11-2 in the bottom of the fourth inning with a hit by leadoff hitter Austin, Park Dong-won, Park Hae-min and Koo Bon-hyuk's consecutive hits after two outs, and Lee Young-bin's two-run home run.

LG went on a 14-2 run in the fifth to seventh innings, scoring one run each. In the seventh inning, Oh Ji-hwan hit a home run.

In the top of the eighth inning, Hanwha had a chance to get the first and second bases with no outs with a hit by Kwon Kwang-min and Kim In-hwan. He made up for Ha Joo-seok's timely hit with two outs and a third base due to Euro resolution's double play. In the bottom of the ninth inning, leadoff hitter Hwang Young-mook got on base, but he swallowed the disappointment as it did not lead to a score.

On this day, LG's starting pitcher Hernandez allowed two runs in five innings, and Jung Woo-young (1 inning scoreless), Lim Joon-hyung (1 inning scoreless), Lee Woo-chan (1 inning scoreless), and Park Myung-geun (1 inning scoreless) came up one after another to keep the victory.

Cho Dong-wook was the starter for Hanwha as Moon Dong-ju was unable to take the mound due to shoulder fatigue. Cho Dong-wook allowed two runs (one earned run) in two innings and went down the mound.
