LA Dodgers Shohei Ohtani quenched his thirst for no home runs for the longest period in the second half of the year.

Ohtani hit his 45th home run of the season in the first of three consecutive home games against the Cleveland Guardians at Dodger Stadium on the 7th (Korea time).

Ohtani's homerun exploded in the sixth inning.

Ohtani, who entered the batter's box for the third time after one out in the sixth inning, trailing 0-2, hit a sinker in the middle of left-hander Matthew Boyd's second pitch of 88.8 miles on a one-ball to well over the center fence. A large arch with a launch angle of 38 degrees, a batting speed of 111.2 miles, and a distance of 413 feet.

It is the first time in six days, five games and 27 at-bats that Ohtani hit a home run since his solo shot against the Arizona Diamondbacks in the top of the first inning on the 1st. He ended his thirst for no home runs for the longest period in the second half with a thrilling chase.

With this, Ohtani, who reached 45 homers and 46 steals this season, will kiss the first 50-50 in history if he adds five homers and four steals.

If the Dodgers apply their pace so far with 21 games left, Ohtani can arithmetically record 52 home runs and 53 steals. In other words, the possibility of 50-50 is even higher.

Ohtani hit a home run in his first at-bat, but was caught in front of the fence. Cleveland Boyd's fourth pitch hit a high sinker in the middle of 93.4 miles and flew wide into the parabolic center fence. The angle of launch is 29 degrees, and the speed of hitting is 99.5 miles. Center fielder Rain Thomas chased the ball while looking at the ball, and lightly caught it leaning against the fence. The distance was 394 feet (120 meters). The expected batting average (xBA) was 0.510, which was a sad hard hit for Ohtani.

After one hit in the third inning, when the 0-0 balance continued, he struck out swinging in his second at-bat. At 2B2S, he missed the bat with his hip out on a 79.4-mile slider that fell wide outside Boyd's fifth pitch. Local broadcasters analyzed that "The third strike was hit by a terribly bad ball" and "Ohtani swung and missed due to the trick that Boyd dragged while hiding the ball for a long time"."

Cleveland took a 2-0 lead in the top of the sixth inning when left-handed batter Andres Jimenez pulled a high fastball in the middle of Dodgers starter Landon Neck's 92.6 miles of first pitch and connected the right fence with a two-run shot to the line drive.

Cleveland star Jose Ramirez, who has already achieved his second career 30 home runs and 30 steals, marked 35 steals of the season by stealing second base at the top of the fourth inning after hitting a right-handed hit after one out. He is hitting 34 home runs, and is trying 40-40 for the second time this season after Ohtani.
