Lee Kasley, England's interim coach, is embroiled in a controversy over national singing ahead of the match against Ireland.

Earlier last month, the FA appointed Lee Kasley, the under-21 national team coach, as interim coach to replace Gareth Southgate. During the appointment of the new official coach, he took the helm of the two consecutive European Nations League Ireland-Finland games in September. Some predicted that he could become an official coach if he plays well in these two games 'Audition'.

However, it seems that he has been tested for the first time before he even started auditioning. Kasley expressed his determination not to sing the English national anthem 'God Save the King' as he has to focus on the game ahead of his first match against the Republic of Nations League Ireland in Dublin.

Born in Birmingham but playing for the Republic of Ireland, Casley said: "It was this (singing the national anthem) that I had the most difficulty playing for Ireland"He confessed. "The gap was too big between coming into the stadium after the warm-up and singing the national anthem. So I never called him. I was always focused on the game and the first move. I had to be wary of being shaken during that period"I looked back. "I really focused on football, and I used that concentration to coach. When I was singing the national anthem for the under-21 national team, I was in the corner. We were preparing our first actions during the game to see what tactics the opponent would set."

Although he is an interim coach, the head coach of the England national team has declared that he will not sing the national anthem in the A-match national competition, sparking public opinion in the UK.

Mark Wright, a former England national university student, said in a Daily Mail on the 7th (Korea time) that `If you are British and have pride in your country, you will sing the national anthem. I get excited when I sing the national anthem. Every time I sang `God Save the Queen' with my colleagues, I did so. `"I don't know where Lee Kasley came from, but I have to respect him. Everyone makes their own decisions, but "I always sang the national anthem proudly whenever I wore a white uniform on behalf of the three dead and whenever I represented the country. Everyone did. It was natural to sing the national anthem because I felt patriotic." "Maybe Casley doesn't want to be rude to the Republic of Ireland team he once played for. As a player, he went to Ireland because he didn't think he would get a chance for the England national team, and he should always respect other people's decisions in his life. "But it won't be that his desire to win is diminished," he said, expressing his understanding. "But all England supporters will want a coach who can sing the national anthem as proudly as the players like Gareth Southgate."

Sports columnist Jeff Powell said `Lee Kasley should be removed from his job as England's interim coach today. It is a betrayal for the national team coach to refuse to sing the national anthem and he is not suitable as England coach.

Meanwhile, interim coach Casley plans to start the game against Ireland with Harry Maguire and Jack Grealish, Anthony Gordon and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Arnold will stand as his original position and favorite position right-back.
