'The three Paralympic gold medal is in 2028 LA!'

Shooting 'Ace Sniper'Park Jin-ho (47, Gangneung City Hall), who became the first Korean team to win two gold medals at the 2024 Paris Paralympics, aimed for three gold medals, but unfortunately ended the Paralympic stage in sixth place.

Park Jin-ho shot 164.6 points in the final round of the 50-meter mixed rifle copy (sports grade SH1) at Chatoru Shooting Center in France at 6:45 p.m. on the 5th (Korea time). German female snapper Natasha Hiltroff (250.2 points) won the gold medal in the new Paralympic record. The silver medal was won by Anna Benson (248.8 points from Sweden) and the bronze medal by Jean-Louis Michaud (227.8 points from France).

In the copy event, you can use a pedestal that meets the rules of the International Federation of Shooting for the Disabled (WSPS) to sit or lie on your stomach and shoot, and unlike joining the company, you compete in a mixed race regardless of gender. In the final round, a total of eight players participate and shoot 10 shots first, and then shoot two shots, and the player with the lowest total score is eliminated one by one.

Park Jin-ho narrowly passed the preliminary round in seventh place (624.8 points) to pick the top eight out of 36. However, it is important to pass because the preliminary results are not reflected in the final round. If you shoot well in the final, you can win a medal.

However, Park Jin-ho did not have a good record in the final either. He shot 9.7 points in both of his first two shots. Since the score is accumulated, it becomes difficult to make up for it if you hit it backward in the beginning. In the first 10 shots, Park Jin-ho scored 102.1 points, ranking seventh after Kasper Jört Rusdahl (Denmark, 101.6 points).

After that, the player with the lowest score continues to fall after every two shots. Park Jin-ho survived in sixth place until his 14th foot. However, it was difficult to guarantee his survival because he was 0.5 points behind fifth-ranked Yuliya Shunoy of Israel. He eventually fell off his 16th foot. Shunoy shot 10.7 points first, blocking Park Jin-ho's chance to turn around. Even if Park Jin-ho shoots 10.9 points, which is a perfect score, he cannot turn the tables. Park Jin-ho's last shot penetrated 10.6 points.

Although Park finished sixth in the shooting final, Park already won two gold medals. He won the gold medal in the men's 10-meter air rifle in shooting R1 and the men's 50-meter rifle 3 positions in R7 on the 31st of last month, becoming the first Korean team to win two gold medals.
