Cho Jung-doo (37, BDH Paras), who won the first gold medal for the Korean team at the Paris Paralim Rik in 2024, tried to win two gold medals, but unfortunately failed to win a medal. It was even more regrettable that he set a new Paralympic record in the finals.

Cho Jung-doo shot 181 points in the final round of the 50-meter mixed P4 pistol (sports grade SH1) held at Chatoru Shooting Center in France on the night of the 4th (Korea time). Park Se-kyun (53, Good People), who participated together, finished seventh with 124.7 points. The 50 m pistol final shoots two series of five shots, and is given 250 seconds per series. After that, a total of 14 shots will be fired within 50 seconds with a single shot. After 8 shots, the lowest-scoring player is eliminated one by one.

Cho Jung-doo scored a total of 553 points in the finals held earlier in the day, breaking the new Paralympic record of 552 points achieved by Park Se-kyun during the 2008 Beijing Paralympics. He reached the final round as the first of 29 players, making him look forward to the birth of his second two-time gold medal in the Korean team after Park Jin-ho (47). Park Se-kyun, who participated together, passed the finals in fifth place.

However, Cho Jung-doo and Park Se-kyun did not perform as well as they did in the finals. It shook from the beginning. Until the second series, Cho Jung-du ranked sixth with 90.1 points and Park Se-kyun ranked seventh with 85.1 points. In the end, Park finished early, finishing seventh with 124.7 points in the fourth series.

Cho Jung-doo showed a rebound. He scored high points in the 5th and 6th series to reach fourth place. He was only 1.6 points behind third-place Francesca David of Italy. It was worth trying to get into the medal table with a come-from-behind victory. However, Cho Jung-doo received 8.0 points, the second lowest score in the final of the day, in the first shot of the 7 series. The second shot was 9.1 points. David scored 8.4 and 9.3 points. That's all for Cho Jung-du.

After the game, I expected it because I shot well in the main race, but something didn't fit in the final. He blamed himself for failing to find a problem on his own. "It seems that I still have a long way to go," he continued. Continuing "I was in good condition, but I think there was another problem. I should have corrected the problem and focused on shooting again, but I couldn't"I pointed out the cause of the defeat.

At the beginning of the competition on August 30, Cho Jung-doo won the gold medal in the men's 10m air pistol (sports grade SH1) event in shooting P1 and delivered his first gold news to the Korean team. This was my first Paralympic appearance. He "It was so much fun. "Whether I did it well or not, I was just so happy to come out and play against top athletes at the Paralympics."

Although Cho failed to win a mixed 50m pistol medal, Cho returns home with one gold medal around his neck. I just can't wait to see my wife who is about to give birth (September 12). Cho Jung-du said, `I'm so grateful to my family. I don't know if the soon-to-be-born baby was cheering, but I still want to say thank you to the baby" he said.
