BNK defeated Hitachi of Japan 82 to 55 in the preliminary round of Group A of the '2024 Woori Bank Park Shin-ja Cup' held at Asan Yi Sun-shin Gymnasium on the 6th.
BNK, which had 3 wins and 1 loss, pushed Woori Bank (3 wins and 1 loss) to third place ahead of goal difference to secure second place in the group. In Group A, Toyota (3-1) and BNK (3-1) succeeded in advancing to the semifinals by ranking first and second, respectively, and Woori Bank was eliminated.
BNK will face Fujitsu (4 wins), No. 1 in Group B, in the semifinals on the 7th.
It was a thrilling come-from-behind victory. BNK started with a 16-25 deficit in the first quarter. However, BNK, which succeeded in turning the tables (31-29) with Kim Jong-un's basket count midway through the second quarter, ended the first half 43-35.
BNK, which gained momentum, also hit hard in the second half, and Hitachi struggled with little time to catch up. In the end, BNK ran away by as many as 25 points (76-51) in the middle of the fourth quarter, deciding the game early.
