Starting pitcher Kim Do-hyun pitched seven innings, the most in a single game since his debut, and played a leading role in the victory as he pitched three hits, two walks, seven strikeouts and no runs. In the lineup, Park Chan-ho helped with two-run shots and Kim Do-young and Yoon Do-hyun with multi-hits. KIA has accumulated scores from the beginning. In the bottom of the first inning, Socrates' timely hit made by Kim Do-young's left-handed hit to left field and Park Chan-ho's hit to the right. With two outs and runners on the first and third bases, Park Chan-ho became a home-in, 2-0, while Kim Young-woong missed Ko Jong-wook's ground ball. In the bottom of the second inning, with one out and runners on the first and second bases, Yoon Do-hyun hit a two-run double to left-center to run 4-0. In the bottom of the fourth inning, with two outs and runners on first base, Park Chan-ho shot a two-run shot to left on Kim Dae-ho, widening the gap to 6-0.



Following Kim Dae-ho, Choi Chae-heung took the mound to block KIA's batting line, but rarely got a chance to chase. Kim Do-hyun was responsible for the most innings in his career, blocking Samsung's batters with no goals.

KIA made a full-out inning when Yoo Seung-chul, who took the mound in the eighth inning, and decided the game early by adding one more point when Kim Do-young's sacrifice fly to center field with no outs and bases loaded by Byun Woo-hyuk's left-handed hit and Han Jun-su's Kim Ho-ryeong's consecutive walks. Park Jun-pyo, who took the mound in the top of the ninth inning, allowed one run, but the game was already on the wane.
