Premier 12's starting pitcher Ryu Joong-il and Cuba in two warm-up matches in November

KBO announced that the Premier 12 national team will play a warm-up match against Cuba at Gocheok Sky Dome on November 1st and 2nd. This is the third warm-up match against Cuba. The most recent face-off was in 2015.
Cuba, ranked eighth in the world (6th in Korea), ranked fourth in the 2023 WBC (World Baseball Classic), and finished second in the 2006 WBC. At the Olympics, he won three gold medals (1992, 1996, 2004) and added 'maybe the strongest' modifier.
