The 14 directors of the Badminton Association's board of directors issued a statement on the 22nd saying, `Appeals for Responsible Action by the Board of Directors of the Badminton Association.'
The statement read "After the Paris Olympics, the situation in the Korean Badminton Association (BA) and the Korean badminton is deteriorating both inside and outside. The association's response, which is pouring fuel rather than solving the problem, is disappointing not only the government but also the people and tarnishing the status of Korean badminton"The current president of the Badminton Korea Association and surrounding executive factors are not responsible for the situation even as the situation is heading toward catastrophe. As a result, the protection of athletes and the harmony between professional and daily sports have become worse than before" he pointed out.

He's causing a lot of harmAs an executive of the association until the situation has reached this point, our board members who have been sitting on the sidelines as it is now must also feel responsible. It's not just personal irregularities that are wrong, we should have looked into them and rebuked them for 淨, but we didn't either", he reflected.
The statement calls for the resignation of Chairman Kim Taek-gyu, Executive Director Kim Jong-woong, and auditor Park Gye-ok in order to listen to the people's harsh criticism and fulfill their responsibilities as members of the association even now.
As you may have already heard through the media and others, the vice-chairman has already issued a statement calling for their joint resignation. Our actions are a reflection on our own board's failure to control the situation internally, and a strong message to take responsibility for the situation and urge the president of the association to step down" he insisted.
