Hong Myung-bo announces list of call-up for Jordan-Iraq match After overcoming fans' concerns, the list of the 2nd generation of Hong Myung-bo, named by Son Heung-min, has been revealed.

A national team coach Hong Myung-bo announced the list of 26 Taegeuk Warriors who will participate in the two consecutive A matches in October at 11 a.m. on the 30th at the Shinmun-ro Football Center in Seoul.

Hong Myung-bo, who is trying to advance to the World Cup finals for the 11th consecutive time, will go on an away trip to Jordan at 11 p.m. on the 10th of next month at Amman International Stadium in Jordan, the third Group B qualifying round for the FIFA North-China World Cup. It will then play Iraq at 8 p.m. on the 15th at Yongin Mir Stadium in Gyeonggi-do.

South Korea was in Group B with Jordan, Iraq, Palestine, Oman and Kuwait. Last month, coach Hong Myung-bo's debut match and the first match of the third qualifying round, tied 0-0 against Palestine and won 3-1 in the second match of Oman's away match. The first and second places in each group will go straight to the finals, while the third and fourth places will head to the fourth qualifying round, where they will face off for two tickets. 5th to 6th place will be eliminated. Currently, Jordan, South Korea and Iraq have one win and one draw (4 points). Iraq, which is behind in goal difference (+1), has the same goal difference (+2), but Jordan, which is leading in multiple goals, is in first place (4 goals) and South Korea is in second place (3 goals). Jordan (68th) and Iraq (55th), two of the tightest competitors in October, are the toughest. Korea (23rd) is ranked higher in FIFA rankings, but soccer is not ranked in the past. Jordan is the team that called for Klinsmann's resignation after losing 0-2 to South Korea in the semifinals of the Qatar Asian Cup earlier this year. In the 2007 Asian Cup semi-finals, they lost to Iraq after a penalty shootout.

The other day, coach Hong Myung-bo convened all the best aces. Son Heung-min (Tottenham) who was worried about 'Captain' Son Heung-min was replaced after 71 minutes against Karabakh (Azerbaijan) in the Europa League on the 27th, complaining of thigh pain in the second half, and missed the away match for Manchester United on the 30th. Ahead of the announcement of the list, the focus of the Korean national team and whether Son Heung-min will be included were of keen interest. Coach Hong Myung-bo seems to have decided whether to select him or not after sufficient communication.

Major European players such as Kim Min-jae (Bayern Munich), Lee Kang-in (Paris Saint-Germain), Lee Jae-sung (Mainz), Hwang In-beom (Feyenoord) and Seol Young-woo (Zvezda) were on board without fail, and fullback Hwang Moon-ki (Gangwon), who made an impressive debut in his first selection in September, was also called out again.
