The national soccer team, led by head coach Hong Myung-bo, held its second training session at Goyang Stadium in Gyeonggi Province on the 3rd. On this day, Son Heung-min (Tottenham), Lee Kang-in (Paris Saint-Germain), Kim Min-jae (Bayern Munich), and Hwang In-beom, who announced the transfer from Serbia's Tsurvena Zvezda to Feyenoord, Netherlands, finally gathered together. Hong Myung-bo, who conducted his first training session with 19 players, including 12 players from the K League, finally broke down with 26 players.
Initially, the training was expected to be 5 p.m., but it began at 7 p.m. considering the time to travel from Incheon International Airport to Goyang to join players who entered the afternoon, including Son Heung-min and Lee Kang-in. Only the first 15 minutes were shown to the media. During the opening time, Son Heung-min, Lee Kang-in, Kim Min-jae, Hwang In-beom, Seol Young-woo (Zvezda), and Lee Han-beom (Mit Willan) warmed up separately on the mat and focused on recovery with cycles or light ball touches. Son Heung-min, who also wore the captain's armband in the Hong Myung-bo team, watched his teammates' training with a bright expression. In addition to the six recovery teams, other players formed a group and conducted Rondo training to turn the ball with a header.
Coach Hong appeared to put a lot of effort into the recovery of the players. Coach Hong said, `Because of the short call-up, 24-hour training is very important. "I think the key is how well the coaching staff prepares and shares the 24 hours with the players to demonstrate in real games with the strategy and details of the game." In fact, the national team was scheduled to hold a team meeting before training on the day, but it was postponed to the 4th in consideration of the training time and the fatigue of the players who had just entered the country.
