Sports Toto Korea, a trustee of Sports Toto, a sports promotion voting ticket issued by the National Sports Promotion Foundation, once again urged teenagers to pay attention to illegal sports betting and illegal sports gambling sites.
Sports gambling, such as the release of similar sites that mimic Sports Toto's unique games, such as Toto and Proto, is all considered illegal. In addition, regardless of legal or illegal, adolescents cannot use them all in any case.
Sports Promotion Voting Rights Sports Toto and Betman, which are in effect in Korea, are both legal, and under the current National Sports Promotion Act, youths face up to three years in prison or a fine of up to 30 million won if they violate the purchase restriction that they should not sell sports promotion voting rights or give refunds.
In addition, teenagers should pay special attention to this point because it stipulates that not only illegal sports gambling operators but also those who participate will be sentenced to up to five years in prison or fined up to 50 million won.
Despite the rules, games aimed at these games are prevalent on illegal sports gambling sites with servers overseas as European soccer leagues opened in unison last month. As a result, there is a concern that the cases and amount of damage caused by illegal sports gambling by adolescents will increase.
Adolescents must be careful because illegal sports gambling sites use a lot of phrases far from reality, such as false statements that are 'state-permitted sports betting'.
An official from Sports Toto Korea said "It is expected that the number of cases of illegal sports gambling targeting European soccer, which opened last month, will increase."Sports Toto Korea will be aware of this and make every effort to eradicate the indiscriminate use of illegal sports gambling by teenagers.
