South Korea was completely defeated 1-7 against Nicaragua in the last Group B opening round of the 2024 World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-23 Baseball World Cup in Xiaoxing, China on the 10th.
In this competition, six teams will be placed in Group A and Group B to play the opening round, and the top three teams in each group will advance to the super round.
South Korea was in Group B of this tournament. Although he is ranked sixth in the WBSC rankings, the rankings of competitors were also not easy. Taiwan (3rd), Venezuela (5th), the Netherlands (7th), Nicaragua (17th), and South Africa (31st) were all included, making it difficult to guarantee a place in the Super Round.
