Samsung announced on the 23rd that Lee Seung-min will take the mound instead of Hwang Dong-jae, who predicted his appearance at Kia Champions Field in Gwangju. "Hwang Dong-jae felt shoulder pain while preparing for the game, so he replaced the player's protection car," a Samsung official said.
Hwang Dong-jae pitched 42 innings in 15 games this season with a 1-2 record and an ERA of 4.07. He has lost one game without winning five starts since August.
Lee Seung-min has an 8.58 ERA with one win and three losses in 23 games and 43 innings. The most recent start was against Kiwoom on the 28th of last month (four hits, one walk, one strikeout, two runs and one earned run in three innings).
