SSG Landers Kim Kwang-hyun succeeded in recovering his pride.

Kim Kwang-hyun started in an away game against the LG Twins in Jamsil on the 5th and recorded a quality start with five hits, four walks, six strikeouts, and two runs (one earned run) in six innings, meeting the requirements for a winning pitcher. I am looking forward to winning my first game against LG this season.

Kim Kwang-hyun has been completely weak against LG this season. Kim Kwang-hyun, who had one win and one loss with a 5.82 ERA in four games last year, lost three games without winning four games this year and has a whopping 11.50 ERA. Since last year, LG has lost four consecutive games.

Kim Kwang-hyun, who had seven hits (one home run) with seven strikeouts and five runs in six innings in Incheon on April 21, recorded a quality start of three hits, three walks, six strikeouts and three runs in six ⅓ innings in Jamsil on May 9. The only day this game played well. Unfortunately, however, he lost 1-3 and became a losing pitcher. On May 28, he became a losing pitcher again with seven hits (two home runs) and four walks and seven runs in two ⅔ innings in Incheon, and collapsed in Jamsil on July 17 with nine hits (two home runs) and two strikeouts and eight runs in three innings.

In the top of the first inning, Choo Shin-soo's triple and Jung Joon-jae's timely hit were added to the opponent's error, and Kim Kwang-hyun, who took the mound with a 3-0 lead, got off to a clean start by handling all of Hong Chang-ki, Oh Ji-hwan, and Austin with bad hits in the bottom of the first inning.

At the end of the second inning, he was anxious by allowing a straight walk to the first-runner Moon Bo-kyung. However, he induced Kim Hyun-soo to hit a ground ball in front of the first base, and even caught Moon Bo-kyung, who was running to second base, and treated him as a double play. Kim Bum-suk was caught on a fly to second base to continue a 3-0 lead.

In the bottom of the third inning, he was anxious because he gave up a straight walk to the leadoff Koo Bon-hyuk, but he caught Choi Won-young with a shortstop line drive, out the first baseman, and quickly finished the third inning by ending Heo Do-hwan with a fly to the second base.

First run in the bottom of the fourth inning. Kim Kwang-hyun, who allowed a walk to lead Hong Chang-ki after a full count match, struck out Oh Ji-hwan, but allowed Austin to hit for the first time, driving him to the first and second bases. He struck out Moon Bo-kyung with a swing and miss to make two outs, but allowed one run after an RBI single to Kim Hyun-soo. He struck out Kim Bum-seok swinging and prevented additional runs.

Unfortunately, he lost another point in the bottom of the fifth inning. Kim Kwang-hyun, who had a heavy hit by Choi Won-young and a left-center hit by pinch hitter Park Dong-won after one out, allowed a walk after a full-count match with Hong Chang-ki to load the bases with one out. Oh Ji-hwan was caught with a ground ball in front of the curious catcher. A high-bound ball fell in front of the catcher, and catcher Lee Ji-young hit home and out Choi Won-young, who was playing home. He led Austin to a ground ball in front of the shortstop with the two outs and the bases loaded, but shortstop Ahn Sang-hyun made an error that failed to catch properly, allowing one run. Fortunately, Moon Bo-kyung struck out swinging and finished without additional runs.

Kim Kwang-hyun, who threw 91 pitches until the fifth inning, also took the mound in the bottom of the sixth inning. Kim Hyun-soo was caught on a line drive by shortstop and Kim Bum-seok with a ground ball in front of the shortstop, but he was in the final crisis after a double over the height of the third baseman by Koo Bon-hyuk. He went over 100 pitches against Choi Won-young. In 1B2S, he struck out swinging with a slow curve of 110km on the last 103 pitches.

He replaced Noh Kyung-eun in the bottom of the seventh inning with a 4-2 lead. On this day, Kim Kwang-hyun sprayed 39 fastballs of up to 149km and added 37 sliders of 140km. He threw 19 119km curves and sprayed 8 132km folk balls. Of the six strikeouts, he caught four with a curveball and one each with a fastball and slider.
