Cho Hyung-joon took the mound again in the Futures League.
It has been three months since June 7.
Cho Hyung-joon started in the Futures League against the KIA Tigers in Hampyeong on the 4th and recorded one hit and no run in one inning. He threw 13 pitches, and the maximum speed was 140 kilometers.
Cho Hyung-joon, who took the mound in the bottom of the first inning with a 5-0 lead, met No. 1 Lee Chang-jin and induced a missed hit with a six-pitch outside two-seam in 2B2S, and caught himself and threw him to first base to catch the first out count.
No. 2 Choi Jung-yong received a double that fell on the right wing with the second high ball, but Choi Jung-yong ran to third base and was tagged out. Hwang Dae-in, the third player, handled it with a ground ball in front of the second base to end the first inning with one hit and no run. And in the bottom of the second inning, he was replaced by second pitcher Lee Hyun-min.
Cho Hyung-joon underwent elbow ligament joint surgery in May last year and has been trying to return this year. He pitched three innings in his first appearance in the Futures League against the Goyang Heroes on May 31, and pitched four innings against Lotte on June 7, but pain soon came back and he was diagnosed with micro-damage to the outer flexor and rehabilitated again.
Cho Hyung-joon, who recently pitched live due to his improved condition, began a full-fledged return process by pitching in the Futures League.
KT manager Lee Kang-chul said, `I hope to come back at the end of the season and throw at least one or two games" has once hinted at a wind.
As of the 3rd, KT is in fifth place with 62 wins, 3 draws and 63 losses. It is two games ahead of sixth-ranked Hanwha Eagles (58 wins, two draws and 63 losses), and is chasing fourth-ranked Doosan Bears (64 wins, two draws and 64 losses) by half a game.
If Cho Hyung-joon comes, it will be of great help if he advances to the postseason as well as the fight for fifth place at the end of the season.
