The first game of the three games of fate was up to the Doosan Bears.

Doosan is just one game away from the third-place LG Twins. Doosan beat LG 14-7 in the first game of a doubleheader at Jamsil Stadium on the 21st. Starter Kwak Bin allowed seven runs in five ⅓ innings, but Yang Seok-hwan led the attack by adding back-to-back hits such as a two-run shot in the first inning, a three-run shot in the sixth inning, and a three-run shot in the eighth inning. Foreign batter Jarrod Young played a four-hit game, and Kim Jae-ho also helped with three RBIs. With the victory, Doosan is one game away from third-place LG (71 wins, two draws and 65 losses) with five consecutive wins and 70 wins, two draws and 66 losses. LG, who went on a forced bullpen day amid a variable in which starter Eliaser Hernandez was automatically sent off after just four pitches, chased with Oh Ji-hwan's two-run shot, but bowed his head as the mound failed to withstand Doosan's lineup.

Doosan scored four runs and made a big inning in the top of the first inning. While leadoff hitter Jung Soo-bin got on base with a hit in right-center, Heo Kyung-min was hit on the helmet by a 144km fastball that was missing from Hernandez's hand. While Hernandez was automatically sent off due to headshot regulations, LG's Lee Ji-gang was urgently put in. However, when Yang Eui-ji got a walk, Doosan got the first run with Yang Seok-hwan getting on base and pushing back with a pitch with one out, and Jared's two-run double widened the gap. Yang Seok-hwan homered when Lee Yoo-chan grounded out with one out and runners on the second and third bases, making it 4-0. Doosan ran 5-0 in the top of the third inning when Kim Jae-ho hit a solo shot to the left against LG Lim Joon-hyung without a runner with two outs.

LG scored a chase in the bottom of the fourth inning. Oh Ji-hwan hit a superior two-run shot against Kwak Bin to make it 5-2, with two outs and one base made by Moon Bo-kyung's walk. However, Doosan widened the gap again to 7-2 in the top of the fifth inning by adding Jung Soo-bin's timely hit to the left with two outs and runners on the first and second bases with two outs made by Cho's hit.

LG chased one more point in the bottom of the fifth inning as Hong Chang-ki made a timely hit to the left following Park Hae-min's double to the left. With the bases loaded with one out made by Moon Sung-joo Austin's consecutive hits, Moon Bo-kyung made a two-run timely hit and followed up to a two-run gap. However, Kim Hyun-soo failed to turn the tables as he threw a fly ball and Oh Ji-hwan struck out. Doosan made it 9-5 in the top of the sixth inning when Kim Jae-hwan walked against LG Kim Yoo-young after one out, and Yang Seok-hwan fired a two-run shot to the left to complete 30 home runs-100 RBIs.

LG had another chance to come from behind in the bottom of the sixth inning. After one out, Park Hae-min's hit and Lee Young-bin's walk succeeded in drawing Kwak Bin down. While Doosan put in Lee Byung-hyun, LG continued its chance to get on base with Hong Chang-ki walking and loading the bases. Moon Sung-joo struck out, but Austin made a two-run timely hit to the left, making it 9-7. However, with two outs and runners on the first and second bases, Moon Bo-kyung stepped down with a fly ball to the left field and bowed again.

Doosan regained a five-run lead in the top of the eighth inning when Yang Seok-hwan hit a three-run shot to left-center in the second and third bases with no outs caught by Yang Eui-ji's walk and Kim Jae-hwan's preferred double. In the subsequent at-bat, Jared's double to left-center and Lee Yoo-chan's timely hit came out to win 13-7. When Lee Yoo-chan's timely hit came out, LG manager Yeom Kyung-yeop put Lee Woo-chan on the mound instead of Lee Jong-joon, and started preparing for the second game early by replacing a large number of fielders.
