Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has a new nickname.
'Bruno Redcades'
It is the nickname given by some fans after Portugal midfielder Fernandez was directly sent off for a high tackle in the sixth round of the English Premier League (EPL) in the 2024-2025 season against Tottenham on the 30th of last month (Korea time).
Fernandez was warned by firing a 'Kung Fu Kick' toward the opponent's face in the 36th minute of the second half of the second half in an away match between FC Porto and the European Europa League phase at the Istadieu Dou Dragang in Lisbon, Portugal on the 4th. The opponent rolled over, clutching his face, and 'Bfe', who received a warning earlier, was sent off with a cumulative warning.
United lead cheerfully in the 20th minute with back-to-back goals from Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hoyloon Pepe in the 27th minute of the first half, Samu Omorodion scored back-to-back goals in the 34th minute and the 5th minute of the second half. With the team pulling the reins of the chase, the team captain was sent off for unnecessary fouls, causing enormous damage to the team.

Fortunately, Manchester United had a 3-3 draw with substitute defender Harry Maguire scoring a dramatic equalizer in the first minute of extra time in the second half.
Fernandez, however, could not be free from criticism. It's because he didn't get a red card once in a while, but faced the issue of leaving the game for two consecutive games every four days. As a result, the suspension of three games against Tottenham was erased through an appeal.
Fernandes has played a total of 10 games this season, including six league games and two Europa League games, with only four assists without scoring. There are more exits than runs scored. Fernandez's slump is not irrelevant to Manchester United's 13th place with only two wins (7 points) in six league games, and the Europa League's second consecutive draw put them 21st out of 36 teams.
Manchester United manager Erik tenhach still made it to the finals for the past two yearsI'm sure the team will be better in the future based on the facts, but the harder the game, the stronger the public opinion is. Manchester United lost 0-3 against Tottenham, where Son Heung-min was injured. There have been no wins in the last four games in a row, and they have won only three games in all games this season.
Hopes for a European trophy are not very high as they have shown signs of instability, including 14 goals against Bayern Munich, Copenhagen, Galatasaray and Porto in their four recent away matches against European clubs. Where is Manchester United going now?
