Guglielmo Vicario has become the most expensive goalkeeper in the English Premier League (EPL).

Soccer statistics media outlet Transfer Markt announced a new ransom for EPL active players in the 2024-2025 season on the 1st (Korea time).

Following the new update, Transfer Markt announced the formation of Best Eleven with the highest-paid players in the EPL. It is no exaggeration to say that it was the world of Manchester City and Arsenal players.

First, Erling Holan and Kai Havertz were located on the front line. Holan rose about 11% from the previous ransom to reach 200 million euros (about 292 billion won). It is the first time a footballer has reached a value of 200 million euros since Kylian Mbappe in 2019. Havertz, who has been playing well after changing his position from Arsenal to striker, also saw his ransom rise slightly to 75 million euros (about 109.7 billion won).

In the second term was Arsenal's present and future Bukayo Saka and Manchester City's next superstar Phil Foden. Louis Diaz, who has recently become Liverpool's new ace, is next to Foden and Saka. Foden was valued at 150 million euros (W219.4 billion), Saka at 140 million euros (W204.8 billion), and Diaz at 80 million euros (W117 billion).

Rodri, the core of Manchester City, and Rice, the core of Arsenal, were also located in the midfield. Rodri was set at 130 million euros (about 190.2 billion won) and Rice at 120 million euros (about 175.5 billion won).

There were only Manchester City and Arsenal players in the defense. Arsenal centre-back duo William Saliba and Gabriel Magalyangis and Manchester City key defender Hoobeng Dias. Saliba and Dias were worth 80 million euros and Magalyangis 75 million euros.

Guglielmo Vicario was chosen for the goalkeeper's position. Vicario became the most expensive goalkeeper in the EPL with 35 million euros (about 512 billion won). In fact, it is not strange to say that the current EPL goalkeeper's ransom is during the Spring and Autumn Warring States period.

Starting with Vicario, Arsenal's David Raya, Manchester City's Ederson and Manchester United's Andre Onana are all valued at 35 million euros. The ransom is the same, but Vicario seems to have been selected as the youngest of the four players. This is because age is a very important factor in player value.
