In Game 4 of the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Yankee Stadium on the 30th (Korea time), the Yankees beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 11-4 with three home runs, including Anthony Wolfie's grand slam.
The Yankees, who had been on the brink of losing games 1 to 3, recovered one win to make a series record of 1 win and 3 losses, and are poised to fight back.
In the best-of-seven post-season series, one out of 40 teams won the series after three consecutive losses, and the probability is 2.5 percent. However, among the nine teams that won and lost games in the fourth round, only one team won the series in the remaining three games. The Yankees' probability of coming from behind to win the championship has slightly increased to 11.1 percent.
Game 4 between the two teams will be held at 9:08 a.m. on the 31st at the same place. The Yankees will start with Gerrit Cole and the Dodgers with Jack Fleherty. In the first game, Cole allowed four hits and one run in six innings and Fleherty allowed five hits and two runs in five ⅓ innings, respectively.

Freddie Freeman's first home run in the top of the first inning gave the Dodgers a 2-0 lead. After one out in the top of the first inning, Mookie Betts got on base with a double on the right-field line, no outs and runners on the second base. Freeman then took the batter's box with the ball count of 1B2S and pulled Yankees right-hander Lewis Hill's 95.5-mile slider on the outside of the fourth pitch to hit the right fence with a line drive.
The ball, which flew at an angle of 23 degrees and a speed of 106.6 miles, darted over the inside of the right foul pole. The distance is 343 feet.
Freeman is the first player in history to hit consecutive home runs in the first four games of the World Series. Freeman also became the most prolific player in the category with a six-game home run streak so far, including Game 5 and Game 6 of the World Series against the Houston Astros in 2021 when he was with the Atlanta Braves.
However, the Yankees took a chance on the second and third bases with Anthony Wolfie's walk and Austin Wells' double to the right-center field in the bottom of the second inning, and followed Alex Verdugo's grounder to the first base with a home run.

Wolfie pulled an 89-mile slider that flew into Hudson's low first pitch and connected the left fence with a home run over the line drive. His first home run of this postseason with a launch angle of 19 degrees, a batting speed of 107.6 miles and a driving distance of 390 feet. It is the first time in 26 years that the Yankees have hit a grand slam in the World Series since Tino Martinez in the seventh inning of Game 1 against the San Diego Padres in 1998.
However, the Dodgers' pursuit intensified after the middle. In the top of the fifth inning, Will Smith beat Hill, who was looking for stability, with a superior solo home run to recover one run, and Ohtani hit a 88.9-mile body sinker of left-handed pitcher Tim Hill, who changed after Tommy Edman's walk, to hit a heavy hit to connect the opportunity to the first and second bases with no outs.
Betts' ground ball to shortstop forced Ohtani out of the second base, one out and runners on first and third. Then, when Freeman grounded out to second base, third baseman Edman homered and narrowed the gap to 4-5. Freeman's hit was initially ruled a double play, but the video review overturned him to safety at first base, allowing Edman to score.

The Dodgers stole second base after Edman walked to get on base after one out in the top of the seventh inning to create a scoring chance, but Ohtani and Betts were struck out with consecutive swings and misses and failed to close the gap.
However, the Yankees added four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to take the lead. After one out, Volpi scored on Verdugo's groundout to the second base in the second and third base chances made of a double steal after Volpi's left double and Wells' walk, Torres scored a three-run shot in the right-center and widened the score gap to 10-4. Torres pushed a fastball into the middle of Dodgers right-hander Brent Haniwell's third pitch, 94.2 miles, well over the right-center fence.
The Yankees then added a point with Soto's right double and Judge's timely hit to the left.
Dodgers Ohtani was 1 for 4 and Yankees Judge was 1 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored, respectively. The Dodgers' Freeman added three RBIs in four at-bats, becoming the first player to score 10 RBIs in the first four games of the World Series.
Yankees starter Hill struggled with five hits and four runs in four innings, but five bullpen pitchers later blocked the remaining five innings without allowing a run. The Dodgers, which played a bullpen game, had four pitchers with a total of nine hits, six walks, and 11 runs.
