British sports media 'The Athletic' analyzed on the 2nd (Korea time) that Tottenham is facing a new era, saying, 'The end of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min era is approaching in Tottenham.
The main characters are Dominic Solanke and Brennan Johnson.
The Athletic said 'Johnson and Solanke are the future of the Spurs attack. They expected to look bright.
Tottenham's attacks over the past decade have been unspeakable except for Kane and Son Heung-min.
The Athletic have led Spurs in eight years, from Son Heung-min's joining in 2015 to Kane's transfer in 2023. No matter what problem Tottenham faces, the two best strikers in Europe have been the solution.
The Athletic left a gaping hole in creativity, hold-up play and leadership as well as scoring when Kane left for Bayern Munich last summer. Son Heung-min remained alone and scored 17 goals. But Son Heung-min can't be forever either. This season is the last year of Son Heung-min's contract, he said.
The Athletic said 'Tottenham plans to trigger a one-year extension option, but Son Heung-min is 32 years old. He is already showing signs of slowing down. He said he had 1.4 shots per 90 minutes so far this season, his lowest number while playing for Spurs.
The Athletic is without Kane and Son Heung-min is past his prime. If Son Heung-min fails to score in every game, where will the goal come from. The next generation of stars should step up and fill the gap.
Solanke, who was recruited last summer, is quickly adapting. Johnson, a promising player, has grown steadily.
The Athletic started against Brentford, Caravac and Manchester United and scored all of them. Johnson can't do everything on his own. Solanke joined in. I showed off my killer instincts,' he praised.

However, The Athletic said Son Heung-min is still needed.
The Athletic said 'Of course we have not already entered the post-SON era. Son scored two goals against Everton. There is no doubt that if his physical strength recovers, he will still come out first on the left side.
But I was glad that I found an alternative anyway.
The Athletic said 'The point is that Tottenham's attacking play has been painfully dependent on two men (Son Heung-min and Kane) for many years. One of them left and Son Heung-min can't do everything on his own. At some point, Tottenham must find a way to score without leaving everything to the best player of all time. And now, for the first time, it is beginning to look rough.'
