It was good to be called a 'big game feature'.

Choi Seung-yong (23, Doosan Bears) recorded two hits and two strikeouts in four ⅔ innings in Game 2 of the postseason wild card game against KT Wiz at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on the 3rd.

He gave up Kwak Bin in the first game 'Ace', but suffered a shock defeat when he collapsed by allowing four runs in the first inning. One loss will now mean elimination of fall baseball.

Choi Seung-yong had two wins, no losses, one hold and an ERA of 6.00 in 12 games this season. Ahead of the season, he was only able to pitch for the first team at the end of July due to elbow fatigue fractures.

He was scheduled to spend the season as a relief pitcher, but he has been a starter since mid-August due to his reduced starting lineup. There were some ups and downs in the beginning, but he found stability at the end of the season. He pitched quality start (3 earned runs in more than 6 innings) against KIA Tigers on September 19 and allowed 2 runs in 5 innings against NC Dinos on the 24th, his last appearance of the season. Against KT, he started on August 18 and allowed five hits, one walk, one strikeout, and three runs in one ⅔ inning.

While on the mound, Choi did his part.

He hit leadoff hitter Kim Min-hyuk with a ground ball to shortstop in the top of the first inning. The throw was made somewhat unstable when he grounded out to third baseman Rojas, but Rojas hit first baseman Yang Seok-hwan's glove, leading to an obstruction of defense. Jang Sung-woo got a hit, but he struck out Kang Baek-ho to end the inning.

In the top of the second inning, Oh Jae-il, Oh Yoon-seok, and Hwang Jae-gyun were neatly kicked out At the beginning of the third and fourth innings, he also had a clean three-way exit.

The power dropped sharply as he entered the fifth inning. Oh Jae-il was grounded out, but Oh Yoon-seok got a hit. He then took a breather as he turned Hwang Jae-gyun into a flying ball. However, Bae Jeong-dae allowed an infield hit deep into the shortstop. The power of the ball was definitely less than in the first inning, and the hit began to come out.

In the end, he came down the mound. Kim Ki-yeon took the mound, and soon Park Jung-bae, the pitching coach, went up. The decision was made by replacement.

Ahead of the game, Doosan manager Lee Seung-yeop said, "(Choi) I don't think Seung-yong will throw 5-6 innings at a long time. It is different from the regular season. Rather than playing a lot of innings, I'll do it with the idea of throwing an inning and an inning." Choi's maximum number of pitches this season was against KIA in Jamsil on Sept. 19, throwing 73 pitches. As it was a full-strength pitch, about 61 pitches have reached the limit.

One out allowed him to fill five innings, but his choice to replace him was a success. Choi Seung-yong went down the mound, and Lee Young-ha took the mound. Lee Young-ha gave Shim Woo-joon a walk after a full count match.

Doosan once again made a pitching change. Lee Byung-hun was posted, and KT replaced left-handed hitter Kim Min-hyuk with right-handed hitter Moon Sang-chul. Lee Byung-hun finished the inning by treating Moon Sang-chul with a fly ball to center field. Choi Seung-yong was also able to finish the game without losing a point.
