A fighter-turned-professor who was in the road FC cage is distributing MMA to the police.

On the 17th, a video of Professor Lee Jae-won of the Central Police School was uploaded to Road FC Chairman Moon Jung-hong's YouTube channel Gao Hyung Life.

Professor Lee Jae-won is currently a professor of the arrest technique team at the Central Police School. He appeared on the Road FC fight audition program "Real Fighter" and drew attention as he fought a close game against Kwon A-sol. Since then, he has proved his strength as a police officer by playing his debut as a professional road FC player.

Professor Lee Jae-won, who teaches MMA to police trainees, said "There are about 2,000 police officers per training. There are about 4,000 riders a year, about two riders a year. My students came to me to graduate. I was proud to hear that the two used the technique I taught them in the field, and they overpowered an opponent that was about 90 kilograms in 1m90. I'm satisfied because it's practical and it's fun to teach."

Professor Lee started teaching MMA to police officers when he worked at Songpa Police Station. Thinking about the time, Professor Lee Jae-won said "The reason why I taught martial arts when I worked at the Songpa Police Station was because my brothers and sisters (who work together) were beaten by drunkards and criminals. Every time, I felt so bad that I told the police station. He said he'd teach me how to not hurt my arrest using MMA. Since then, I've come all the way to the Central Police Academy."

Meanwhile, Road FC signed an MOU with the National Police Human Resources Development Institute in 2022 and is taking the lead in distributing MMA to police. In addition, last year, it signed an MOU with Wonju City's Autonomous Crime Stoppers to provide self-defense education.
