The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has put the brakes on the Badminton Korea Association's attempt to remove 'opposition to the chairman'.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requested the suspension of the extraordinary general meeting of representatives on the 11th, which the Badminton Association decided to hold on the 7th, citing violation of the articles of incorporation and criticism of the parliamentary audit to propose a no-confidence motion for some executives" he said.

It was recently revealed that the Badminton Association was pushing for an extraordinary general meeting of representatives to discuss the dismissal of six executives (five vice presidents, director Cha Yoon-sook), who were critical of Chairman Kim Taek-kyu in response to the demands of representatives from the 「Pro-Kim Tae-gyu」 forces.

This also violated the rules and procedures of the badminton scene as a result of 'makjang drama' to eliminate the opposition'There was a strong backlash from '

Then, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism decided that it was an unfair one-way administration by the association and put the brakes on it. In this regard, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also pointed out that the convocation of the general meeting did not meet the requirements set out in the association's articles of association.

An extraordinary general meeting of representatives was convened on the basis of Article 8 (2) 3 of the Badminton Association Articles of Incorporation 'when more than one-third of the financial delegates presented the purpose of the meeting and demanded a convocation', but the dismissal proposal of the executives must comply with Article 11 (3) of the articles of incorporation (proposed by a majority of the financial delegates) but failed to do so.

In the National Assembly, the association's attempt to remove the opposition was also under fire. Min Hyung-bae, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, claimed during the parliamentary audit of the National Assembly's Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee held on the same day that the Badminton Association convened a general meeting to disadvantage Cha Yoon-sook, who spoke as a reference during a questioning on the 24th of last month, and that protective measures are needed.

Director Cha was a person who spoke out against the association and Chairman Kim in response to questions about pending issues last month, and was included in the six people who were dismissed.

The criticism of the association's attempt to hold a total of events during the parliamentary audit of the National Assembly is also known to have contributed to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's demand for the suspension of the event.
