Samsung beat KIA 4-2 in Game 3 of the 2024 Korean Series at Daegu Lions Park on the 25th. Starting pitcher Denny Reyes threw 107 pitches, setting the stage for victory as he pitched a quality start plus (more than seven innings, less than three earned runs) in seven innings. In the batting lineup, four home runs, including Lee Sung-kyu in the bottom of the third inning and Kim Young-woong in the bottom of the fifth inning, Kim Hun-gon and Park Byung-ho's back-to-back shot in the bottom of the seventh inning, showed off their strength as the team's No. 1 home run (185) team this season. Samsung, which lost both the first and second games of the Korean Series in Gwangju earlier, smiled for the first time in a long time as it caught a rebound clue. KIA's hot lineup until Game 2 was blocked by Reyes' hard throw and cooled down, and the mound was unable to block Samsung's home run.
KIA took the first chance in the top of the second inning. After one out, Na Sung-bum and Kim Sun-bin's consecutive hits came out, making one out and runners on first and second bases. However, the chance was canceled due to double play as Samsung's first baseman Diaz connected Seo Geon-chang's ground ball to second base and returned it. Samsung also had Kim Hun-gon's first hit after one out in the bottom of the second inning, but Park Byung-ho withdrew due to a double play by third baseman.

Samsung scored the first point in the bottom of the third inning when Lee Sung-kyu hit a high-course fastball among Lauer's 151km and connected it with a solo shot to the left.
KIA had a chance to score again in the top of the fifth inning. The leadoff batter Na Sung-bum's right-handed hit, Kim Sun-bin's successful bunt, and Seo Geon-chang's walk gave him a chance to get first and second bases with one out. However, following Kim Tae-gun's strikeout, Choi Won-joon's ball also failed to tie as he was caught by Samsung left fielder Kim Heon-gon's diving catch.
Samsung scored an extra point with a home run. After one death, Kim Young-woong hit a 148km fastball outside the second pitch from 1B and connected it with a solo shot over the right fence to run 2-0.
KIA scored a chasing point in the top of the sixth inning. The first batter Park Chan-ho got on base with a left-handed hit, but Socrates struck out third baseman Paul Fly and Kim Do-young struck out. With Park Chan-ho succeeding in stealing, two outs and second base, Choi Hyung-woo drew a right-handed hit from Reyes on the full count, and Park Chan-ho homered, making it a one-run gap. Reyes blocked the tie by striking out Na Sung-bum with two outs and a runner on first base. Reyes, who took the mound again in the top of the seventh inning, received a standing ovation from home fans as he made a three-out inning once again.

Samsung faced KIA Jeon Sang-hyun, who took the mound in relief in the bottom of the seventh inning, and Kim Hun-gon hit the first pitch and crossed the left fence. In the subsequent at-bat, even Park Byung-ho connected Jeon Sang-hyun's first pitch with a full hit and a superior back-to-back, widening the gap between Samsung and Samsung.
KIA advanced when Park Chan-ho, who got on base with an infield hit, pitched in the top of the eighth inning when Samsung's Kim Jae-yoon took the mound in relief, and Kim Do-young hit a timely hit to the left and chased one more point again. However, Choi Hyung-woo failed to close the gap as he stepped down with a fly ball.
Samsung struck out Park Byung-ho under KIA Hwang Dong-ha in the bottom of the eighth inning with two outs and a full base chance. However, Kim Jae-yoon, who took the mound again in the top of the ninth inning, closed the game with a two-run victory as he prevented a full base crisis with two outs.
