'Battleground'ESports Top Competition PGS 5th and 21st, the last international competition ahead of PGC 2024

It is an international competition in which 24 top professional teams from around the world compete for the honor of the strongest team, with a group stage and a final stage. In PGS 5, 14 teams with excellent performances in each regional competition and 10 global partner teams will participate, while Gen.G will participate as the top three teams in the '2024 PUBG Weekly Series (PWS) Phase 2' in Korea, Kwangdong Freaks, GNL e-Sports, and T1 as global partner teams.
The group stage will be held for three days from the 21st to the 23rd. A total of 24 teams will be divided into three groups of eight teams, with groups A and B on the first day, groups B and C on the second day, and groups C and A on the third day playing six matches every day. The group was organized in a 'Snake Draft' method, in which global partner teams were placed first and placed sequentially according to the ranking of each region's competitions, and South Korea was organized in Group A, Gen.G. and GNL e-Sports in Group B, and T-One in Group C, respectively.
After a day off, the final stage will be held for three days from the 25th to the 27th, and the team with the highest ranking in a total of 18 matches, 6 matches each day, will be the winner of PGS 5.
The total prize money is $300,000 (about 400 million won), with $100,000 being paid to the winning team and $40,000 to the rest of the teams from second to 24th. PGS points will be awarded to each team to compete in the 'Battlegrounds'ESports Top International Competition 'Pubg Global Championship (PGC) 2024' at the end of this year, according to the final ranking of PGS 5. Annual PGS Points Accumulated Top 8 teams advance to PGC 2024.
