Tommy Edman, a Korean mixed-race major leaguer who is playing 'crazy' in the postseason, has emerged as a true fall guy.

In the National League Championship Series against the New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers Edman led his team to the World Series with a batting average of 47, one home run and 11 RBIs and 11 hits in 6 games. With a batting average of more than 400 and a decisive home run, he won the championship series MVP award.

His performance continued in the World Series. In Game 2 of the World Series against the New York Yankees on the 27th (Korea time), he shook the opponent's mound by hitting a first solo home run in his first at-bat. Edman, who had two hits and one RBI on the day, continued his multi-hit streak for five consecutive postseason games. Manager Dave Roberts is playing so great as a fish in water that he uses him as a clean-up trio.

Edman participated in the World Baseball Classic (WBC) last year and made his name clear to Korean fans. Edman, whose mother is a Korean-American, is a mixed-race athlete. `When I was a child, I learned Korean culture familiarly with my relatives at my mother's home in California" he said. Although his current nationality is the U.S., he was also able to participate in the Korean national team under the special WBC regulations, which allow him to decide the country to participate according to his ancestry.

Edman, who played for the St. Louis Cardinals, transferred from St. Louis to the Dodgers in late July through a triangular trade between St. Louis, the Dodgers and the Chicago White Sox. And he advanced to the World Series in his first year of joining the Dodgers, and is increasing his value by fluttering especially in the postseason, where there is a lot of pressure.

At a press conference after Game 2 of the World Series, Edman said "People started to recognize me little by little on the street. In fact, that has not been the case. If you see players like Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton on the street, you'd think 'That's a baseball player', but I didn't. But recently, people recognize me little by little."
