J-Hope, a member from Gwangju of the world-renowned boy group BTS (BTS), threw the second pitch of the Korean Series.

The first pitch and national anthem of the second game of the Korean Series between the KIA Tigers and the Samsung Lions at Kia Champions Field in Gwangju on the 23rd were confirmed. In the second game of the Korean Series, a member of BTS and a member from Gwangju Metropolitan City will throw the first pitch. J-Hope was discharged from the military service on the 17th after completing his military service, and continued his good work by sponsoring abandoned dog shelters while serving in the military.

J-Hope, who was originally designated as the first pitch for the second game, which was scheduled to be held on the 22nd, was postponed by a day due to rain, but decided to adjust the schedule and proceed with the first pitch as scheduled.

It is the first time that an individual BTS member will pitch professional baseball. BTS pitched the game between the Hanshin Tigers and the Nippon Ham Fighters at Koshien Stadium in Japan in 2017, but this is the first time a member has thrown the first pitch.

Kim Hee-jin, a member of the Seoul Metropolitan Government who is the captain of the national goalball team for the Paris Paralympic Games, will take charge of the second round of the national anthem. Kim Hee-jin is both a goalball player and a musical actor and goes on stage and court with 'singing national team'.
