PSG will play the 19th round of the French League in 2024-2025 at 4:45 a.m. on the 28th (Korea time) at the Orange Velodrome in Marseille, France. It is a meeting between PSG, which is in first place with 20 points, and Marseille, which is in third place with 17 points.
PSG and Marseille are two clubs representing France. The meeting between the two clubs is so competitive that it is called Le Clasic, referring to Barcelona and Real Madrid's El Clasico. Le Clasic is expected to be able to shake the competition for the championship at the beginning of the season as Marseille has succeeded in making up for last season's slump by recruiting storm with manager Robert De Zerby.

A shocking thing happened at a place where fans and players met in person. In the video released through several PSG fans, a PSG fan gave a high-five with Lee Kang-in and said, `Let's go, Chinese.' It's a racist remark.
It is a racism that refers to all Asian people as Chinese because there are many Chinese people from all over the world. If you are a fan enough to come to PSG Open Training, you may not know that Lee Kang-in is a Korean national player, but he committed a racist act in front of the player's face, saying he is Chinese.

Players who are active overseas are suffering from racist problems this season. Last June, Rodrigo Bentancur, who plays for Tottenham, turned to Son Heung-min, the captain, saying, "He and his cousins all look the same" shocked fans by leaving racist comments.
|
Not long after the Son Heung-min-Bentancourt incident, racist remarks were also made to Hwang Hee-chan, who plays for Wolverhampton. During the preseason game between Wolverhampton and Como 1907, Marco Courtois made racist comments towards Hwang Hee-chan. The situation was so serious that Daniel Podense punched Courtois.
When Wolverhampton took official steps, including reporting the situation to UEFA, Como posted a ridiculous explanation that Coutro only said to Hwang Hee-chan "Jackie Chan". Even if there was no racist intent, it was a racist remark.
The Korea Football Association and Wolverhampton reported the incident to the International Football Association (FIFA), and Courtois was given a 10-game severe punishment. Racism toward Asian athletes is a problem several times every season, but racist behavior has not yet been eradicated.
