Former Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp (57) has been appointed as the head of the global soccer division of German energy drink brand Red Bull.

According to BBC News, Klopp will take over this position as of January 1, 2025. As the head of Red Bull's international football club network, he will present the strategic vision of the clubs and help individual sports directors develop Red Bull's philosophy. Red Bull said that while Klopp is not involved in the day-to-day operations of the clubs, he will be responsible for providing advice to the respective teams throughout their game philosophy, transfer strategy and coaching development.

"I couldn't be happier to be part of this project after almost 25 years of football," Klopp said" expressed his feelings. "My role has changed, but my passion for football and the people who make it hasn't changed. I want to join Red Bull at a global level to develop, enhance and support the incredible football talent we have"You can achieve this in a variety of ways, from leveraging Red Bull's elite assets and experiences to learning from other sports and other industries. Together we will discover what is possible. My role is mainly a mentor role for coaches and management, but ultimately it will be a special and future-oriented part of the organization,' he said, expressing his unwavering energy toward the soccer community.



Red Bull, a global energy drink brand, owns RB Leipzig of Germany's Bundesliga, Austria's Red Bull Salzburg, Major League Soccer's New York Red Bull, and Brazil's Red Bull Bragantino, which is famous among domestic fans with Hwang Hee-chan in it. Earlier this year, he also acquired a minority stake in Leeds in the English Championship (second division) and became a uniform sponsor.
