The Los Angeles Dodgers dramatically tied the game.

In Game 5 of the World Series at Yankee Stadium on the 31st (Korea time), the Dodgers scored five runs at once in the top of the fifth inning, trailing 0-5.

The Dodgers' lineup, which was under the pressure of Yankees starter Gerrit Cole, tied the score at 5-5, recovering five runs in the fifth inning with Freddie Freeman's two-run timely hit and Teoscar Hernandez's two-run double. Two critical defensive errors by the Yankees and Cole's mistake without base cover led to mass scoring.

Leading Kiké Hernández opened with a right-handed hit. Then, center fielder Judge missed Tommy Edman's ordinary outfield fly, and all the runners lived. Cole then guided Will Smith to an infield groundout, but shortstop Anthony Volpi's throw to third base to catch the second baseman became a one-bound bad pitch, and the Dodgers had a chance to load the bases with no outs.

Cole struck out Gavin Lux and Shohei Ohtani in a row and seemed to be getting out of the woods. However, when Mookie Betts grounded out to the first base, Cole did not enter the first base, so third baseman Kike scored, followed by a chance to load the bases with two outs.

Freeman called in two players to close the gap to 3-5, and Teoscar Hernandez hit a two-run mid-range double to bring the game back to square one at 5-5.

Colossus, who pitched no hit and no run until the fourth inning, was shaken rapidly due to fielders' errors.

Earlier, the Yankees led the game with three home runs.

The Yankees took the lead with Judge's first two-run homer in the bottom of the first inning. Judge, who had a chance with Juan Soto's walk after one out, pushed a 93.7 mile fastball that penetrated into the middle of Fleherty's first pitch well over the right fence.

The ball, which flew at a launch angle of 28 degrees and a speed of 108.9 miles (175 kilometers), was stuck in the middle of the right outfield seat and at a distance of 403 feet (123 meters). Nearly 50,000 fans who filled Yankee Stadium stood up in unison and cheered and went wild.

It is a thrilling cannon hit by Judge, who is on the World Series stage for the first time in his life this year, in five games and 19 at-bats. It is the first time in 13 days and 7 games that Judge hit a home run since his superior two-run shot in the eighth inning of Game 3 of the ALCS against the Cleveland Guardians at Progressive Field on the 18th.

The Yankees went on to take a 3-0 lead with a back-to-back home run, with fourth batter Jazz Chisom Jr. hitting a solo home run to right-center.

The Yankees then added a point with Alex Verdugo's timely hit to the right in the bottom of the second inning, and Giancarlo Stanton hit a superior solo shot in the third inning to widen the gap to 5-0.
