The Sun of England reported on the 30th (Korea time) 'England star Foden plans to turn football into fishing when he retires.
Foden is one of the best young stars to represent England and Man City. Foden, who made his first-team debut under Guardiola in 2017, has been active with Guardiola's trust. In the 2022-2023 season, he helped Manchester City win the club's first European Champions League title and experienced treble. His performance in the previous 2023-2024 season was at its peak. Foden, who scored 27 goals and 12 assists in 53 official matches, was considered the PFA Player of the Year and became the top EPL player. Foden's current value is estimated at 150 million euros (about 220 billion won), ranking fifth in the world.
However, Foden had a hobby that was not easy to fit into as a soccer star. It's fishing. Foden didn't miss fishing, either, about his plans after retirement.

Foden is what I am after retirement in that interview. Maybe it'll be a fishing vlogger"From the age of five, my father took me fishing, so I started to like fishing. I caught small fish at first, but now I can catch big fish easily. I go anywhere, catch anything..." he revealed his plans to devote himself to fishing after retirement.
Foden also enjoyed fishing during the holiday period after last Euro 2024. It has also been reported that he spends his vacation at a fishing spot along with the sight of a huge fish at the Cotswolds fishing site in England. Even in past interviews about fishing hobbies "Maybe 95% of athletes don't enjoy it. People say it's a strange sport. But you have to try. I think it's the perfect hobby to rest your legs and relax," he said, explaining why he enjoys fishing.
Despite being one of England's top stars, Foden's post-retirement appearance is likely to be seen more often on the fishing grounds than on the ground.
