Last season's KBL championship match runner-up Suwon KT suffered its first defeat in the East Asian Super League (EASL).

KT lost 70 to 91 to Taoyuan Pauian Pilots (Taiwan) in the second Group A match of '2024-2025 season EASL' held at KT Sonic Boom Arena in Suwon, its home stadium, on the 23rd. As a result, KT recorded its first defeat in the group stage, recording a 1-1 record in the group stage.

On this day, KT started the first quarter with Han Hee-won, Heo Hoon, Moon Sung-gon, and Hamons Tillman. After the middle of the quarter, Tillman and Huh Hoon's inner and outer attacks exploded to lead the first quarter 26-19. However, in the second quarter, Taoyuan's three-pointer and NBA-born Trevion Graham's offense failed to stop them, and they came from behind 43-44.

Early in the third quarter, Huh Hoon's three-pointer and Moon Sung-gon's layup followed by an additional free throw to turn the tables briefly, but Taoyuan's post attack with Alec Brown and Graham was unable to overcome. He allowed 15 points in a row for the first five minutes of the fourth quarter, which started 63-66, eventually giving up the win. Heo Hoon worked hard with 21 points (3 3-pointers), but he couldn't prevent the team's defeat.
