SSG recently hired pitching coach Kyung Heon-ho, a former member of the LG Twins.
Coach Kyung Heon-ho, who was nominated by the LG Twins as the second priority in 1996, started pitching coach since 2000 and appeared in 337 games until 2011, recording a 4.02 ERA with 18 saves and 30 holds in 519 innings.
Coach Kyung, who had been active until 2012, has been in charge of pitching parts at LG since 2013 while moving back and forth between the first and second teams.
He entered the season as a first-team coach last year, but he needed a break due to health problems and was in the Futures League until this year.
SSG finished the regular season in sixth place with 72 wins, 2 draws and 70 losses this season. His entry into fall baseball was thwarted by a loss in the fifth-place match against KT Wiz.
SSG also felt the need to change its internal coaching staff. In particular, as the team's ERA remained at the bottom of this season at 5.25, it is necessary to strengthen the pitching coach.

In addition, he has a high understanding of the SSG squad by being in charge of battery coaches for four years (2010-11, 2021-22) at SSG in the past. Coach Lee Young-wook and Lee Myung-ki have a high understanding of the club culture and have advantages in communicating with players, starting their careers at the club and playing for many years. In addition, the club expects that Lee Young-wook and Lee Myung-ki's high-quality skills and sincere attitude throughout their careers will show good performance as coaches in the future", he explained.
In addition, SSG also conveyed its intention not to renew next season's contract to batting coach Kim Jong-hoon, pitching coach Kim Yi-seul, Yang Ji-hoon, and Kim Dong-ho, defensive coach Lee Dae-soo, running coach Lim Jae-hyun, conditioning coach Yoon In-deuk, and stress coach Koo Bon-hak.
SSG will additionally make changes such as coaching positions.
Meanwhile, LG, a team of coach Kyung Heon-ho, ended its fall baseball journey by losing 0-1 to the Samsung Lions in Game 4 of the postseason playoffs at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on the 19th.
LG's starting pitcher Detrick Ans pitched well with six scoreless innings, but Son Joo-young hit a solo home run by Kang Min-ho in the top of the eighth inning, becoming the game's winning point and the only score. Later, Kim Jin-sung (1 inning) and Yoo Young-chan (⅓ innings) came up one after another to keep the rest of the innings scoreless, but eventually lost as the lineup did not explode.
