Cho Sung-hyun Declares to Run for the President of the Korea Sports Council for the Disabled" />, is challenging the 6th president of the Korea Sports Association for the Disabled.
Former Chairman Cho is a sports, welfare and employment field administration expert who served as the chairman of the Korea Employment Security Association for the Disabled from March to September 2021 after serving as the head of the rehabilitation support department of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the head of the culture and sports department for the disabled at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the first head of the Icheon Training Center (currently the head of the Icheon Sports Council for the Disabled), the director of the Korea Sports Association for the Disabled, and the president of the Korea Employment Security Association for the Disabled.
Immediately after the expiration of his term, former Chairman Cho declared that he would run for the 6th president of the Korea Sports Council for the Disabled (hereinafter referred to as the Collegiate) to lead the development of future-oriented sports for the disabled by utilizing the experience of the disabled sports administrator. We will use this experience to create and promote a future-oriented sports policy for the disabled so that they can participate in sports activities for their lives and lead a healthy life in the place where the disabled live, and lead to independence through training, participation in competitions and employment under a stable foundation." expressed his will and confidence. Former Chairman Cho said "In the future, we plan to fully share the field opinions of the sports community for the disabled and announce specific measures."
The 6th election for the chairman of the Korea Sports Council for the Disabled will be held by a vote of delegates in January next year, and former chairman Cho's declaration of candidacy will take the form of a two-way race at a time when current chairman Chung Jin-wan is likely to seek re-election.
