During this tournament, Pro V1 and Pro V1x were provided as practice rooms for participating players. All the players gave various feedback as they experienced the new product. Hayden Springer, Jack Blair and Lee Hodges have already decided to use the 2025 product after testing the Pro V1 and Pro V1x by visiting the performance center, a Titleist fitting and testing facility throughout the year.
The first Titleist Pro V1 first appeared at the Inventis Classic in Las Vegas in October 2000. At the time, 47 players, including the winner Billy Andrade, replaced the ball and participated, drawing attention. Recalling the time, Andrade recalled "There are only a few remaining competitions, with the prize money ranking at 160th. I had paid a participation fee to participate in Q School. I was really desperate, but the Pro V1 I met in the practice round was a golf ball that wasn't in the world. This ball revived my career"He expressed his emotion. Since then, Pro V1 has been selected by three out of four touring players around the world and has established itself as a representative equipment that occupies more than half of the golf ball market.
Pro V1 and Pro V1x are made using more than 125 patents based on the results of a golf ball R&D team of 75 people, including aerodynamics, chemists, physicists, mathematicians, computer engineers, and engineers, collecting 20,000 data per day and 5 million data per year at the Titleist Performance Center and Titleist Performance Institute. All Pro V1s must pass more than 90 inspections, and the dual-core Pro V1x can be released only after passing more than 120 inspections.
The 2025 Pro V1-Pro V1x will be officially released in January next year.
