The Korean Volleyball Federation will hold the 2024-2025 KOVO Men's Rookie Draft at the Mayfield Hotel at 10:30 a.m. on the 21st.
A total of 49 people challenged the professional stage in this draft. It consists of 33 prospective college graduates, 4 prospective high school graduates, and 12 university seniors.
One player to watch is Kim Kwan-woo, a third-year Cheonan High School setter who is considered the `biggest language in high school.' He led the national team to third place in 30 years at the 2023 World Men's Youth Volleyball Championship. He won the Setter Award at the 34th CBS Cup National Used Volleyball Championship and the 2024 Inje Bae National Used Volleyball Championship.
In the university department, Choi Joon-hyuk (Inha University) and Seo Hyun-il, a 2-meter-tall middle blocker who contributed to the team's victory in this year's national university volleyball Danyang competition and Goseong competition, are drawing attention. In addition, Lee Joon-young (Hanyang University), the younger brother of Lee Da-hyun, a middle blocker of Hyundai Engineering & Construction, participated in the draft.

However, Korean Air gave up Jin Sung-tae and obtained the 1R nomination right of OK Savings Bank in June. In addition, he gave Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance the right to nominate Son Hyun-jong and 1R for the 2023-24 season, and received the right to nominate 1R for the 2024-25 season. As a result, Korean Air will be able to exercise a total of three 1R nominations.
Hyundai Capital can send Park Joon-hyuk to Woori Card in 2022 and exercise two 1R nominations by consulting on Woori Card's 1R nomination rights and cash transfer for the 2024-25 season. In addition, KEPCO traded Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance's forward line and 2024-253R designation rights, and Lee Si-mon for 2024-252R designation rights.
The draft will be broadcast live online through the portal site Naver.
