Hwajeong Elementary School won the 17th KIA Tigers Elementary School Baseball Tournament in Honam.

The competition, created by KIA to discover and foster baseball dreamers in Honam region, resumed this year, five years after it was suspended due to COVID-19. In this competition, which involved a total of 14 teams, Hwajeong Elementary School won the final match against Daesung Elementary School 7-6 at Mudeung Baseball Stadium in Gwangju on the 27th.

Hwajeong Elementary School, the winning team, was given a trophy, a certificate, three boxes of baseballs, and a coupon for purchasing baseball supplies worth 3 million won as injuries. The runner-up Daesung Elementary School was given trophies and certificates, a box of baseballs and a coupon for purchasing baseball supplies worth 1 million won, while the third-place Suchang Elementary School and Songjeong Dong Elementary School were given trophies and certificates, respectively. All the teams that participated were also given baseball supplies as souvenirs.



Hwajeong Elementary School's Kim Sung-hee, who was selected as the most valuable player of the tournament, was given a trophy and a certificate, and the winners of each category were also given trophies and various baseball products as injuries.
