The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said, "'On the 8th, I ordered a corrective order for an executive of a sports organization to improve disciplinary procedures, and on the 10th, I ordered a corrective order for an executive's refusal to improve unfairness related to deliberation on the extension of his term of office.'"
On the 3rd of last month, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism demanded the Korea Sports Council and the Korea Sports Association for the Disabled to implement the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission's recommendation to raise disciplinary jurisdiction for executives of sports organizations (February 2024). The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission's recommendation is that it is unfair for sports organizations and local sports organizations (including the chairman) to deliberate on disciplinary action when they commit misconduct, and to improve the `self-discipline' of sports organizations such as the Korea Sports Association and the Korea Sports Association for the Disabled.

"The KOC is a public institution responsible for innovating outdated practices in the sports community and supporting member organizations to operate according to fairness and common sense," the ministry said.
