KIA announced on the 11th that it has decided not to renew its contract with Kim Yu-shin in the new season. Pitcher Park Si-on, catcher Lee Sung-joo, infielder Kim Won-kyung, Kim Do-wol, and Choi Soo-bin also requested the cancellation of the nurturing player.
Kim Yoo-shin, who wore the KIA uniform in the second round of the 2018 rookie draft, had a career-high 62 games, 112 ⅓ innings, 3 wins, 7 losses, 2 holds, and an ERA of 7.13 until last year. This season, he only had a 14.14 ERA without winning or losing in seven innings in two Futures League games without taking the mound in the first division.
