"I was scared"

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers, who played as a substitute but could not avoid a crushing defeat, confessed his frustrating feelings.

Celtic lost to Dortmund 1-7 in the second leg of the 2024-2025 UEFA Champions League's league phase at Zignal Iduna Park in Dortmund, Germany on the 2nd (Korea time).

Celtic, who suffered a crushing defeat by six goals, are ranked 19th with one win and one loss and three points. Dortmund, which won two consecutive games, tied Brest (France) and Leverkusen (Germany), but ranked first in goal difference.

Rogers, who suffered a stormy loss, was discouraged by local media, including 'TNT Sports' and 'Sky Sports'.

In an interview with the media, he said, `It's really disappointing, both the result and the game. It's the first time the game has been ruined from the beginning due to a mistake," he said. "It was a little scary when such a scene unfolded at the beginning of the game."

Manager Rodgers continued "I haven't been able to play full of confidence that I've shown so far. In the second half, the players gathered their minds, owned the ball and created chances, but they couldn't beat the team one level above us."

Celtic were racing with a formidable power of 20 points and no runs in the Scottish Premiership with their opening six consecutive wins. In the meantime, it will not be difficult to estimate how great Rodgers' shock would have been as he accepted the result of destroying the momentum of his six consecutive wins at once.
