The Samsung Lions launched a counterattack with their team's iconic home run. Diaz Kim Young-woong's back-to-back home run saved hope by scoring the first run.
Samsung took a 3-0 lead in Game 5 of the Korean Series against KIA at Gwangju Champions Field on the 28th with consecutive home runs by Diaz and Kim Young-woong in the first inning.
Diaz, who started as the fourth first baseman, pulled Yang Hyun-jong's sixth 133km slider in the top of the first inning with two outs and a runner on the first base to hit the left fence. He was caught in an unfavorable count of 0B2S, but he picked out two balls well, made a timely foul on his fastball, and pulled the breaking ball as it was.

The home run pattern was the same as Diaz's.
After pulling the second fastball and hitting a big ball to the right, he pulled a 130-kilometer slider over the right-center fence.
It was the 10th consecutive batter home run in the Korean Series. For Samsung, it is the second back-to-back home run after Game 3 of the Korean Series.
Samsung was on the brink of 1 win and 3 losses with a 2-9 loss due to the original injured steel plate in Game 4. To make matters worse, even Kang Min-ho, the main catcher, was unable to play due to his hamstring. Lee Byung-hun wore a mask.

Diaz and Kim Young-woong made that important shot. A shot that gave hope to Samsung's dugout, which was heading for despair. As expected, Samsung's solution was home runs.
Samsung allowed a sacrifice fly to Na Sung-bum in the bottom of the first inning, leading 3-1.
