PSG drew 1-1 in the third round of the European Champions League (UCL) league phase of 2024-2025 season against PSV Eindhoven at Parc des Princes in Paris, France on the 23rd (Korea time).
PSG, which beat Girona 1-0 in the first round and lost 0-2 away from Arsenal in the following second round, finished unfortunately with no victory over Eindhoven.
The home team PSG operated a 4-3-3 formation. Bradley Barcola, Lee Kang-in, and Usman Dembele are located in the three-top, while the midfield was built by Warren Zairemeri, Joao Neves and Fabian Lewis. Four backs featured Nuno Mendes, Willian Pacho, Marquignos and Ashraf Hakimi. The goalkeeper's gloves were worn by Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Eindhoven fought back in a 4-3-3 formation. Noah Lang, Luc Deyong and Johan Bakayoko were on the front line, while Ismael Saibari, Malik Tillman and Guthill worked together as midfielders. The defense was built by Matteo Dams, Olivier Boscagli, Ryan Flamingo and Mauro Junior. The goal was defended by Walter Benitez.

Lee Kang-in and the PSG offense continued to show good movements, but they failed to score. In the 29th minute of the first half, Dembele took the opportunity by catching the ball that Neves cut off by forward pressure in the box, but the shot went to the stands, not the goal.
Rather, Eindhoven took advantage of the opportunity and scored the first goal. In the 34th minute of the first half, PSG lost the ball in the unfolding situation, and after Rang broke through directly, the right footed shot in front of Marquignos cut through the corner of PSG's goal.
Lee Kang-in's golden opportunity was also blocked. In the 44th minute of the first half, Lee Kang-in caught Dembele's ball in the center of the box and immediately tried to shoot a turning shot, but he hit the ground by Benitez's fingertips. The foul was pointed out later, but it was even more regrettable because if he had scored, he could have checked the situation again. Eindhoven's 1-0 lead ended the first half.

PSG are over the edge of losing points. In the 15th minute of the second half, Till had a one-on-one opportunity in the counterattack, but instead of shooting directly, he tried to pass to Lang, who was advancing on the right. It was a perfect scoring opportunity, but Marquiños blocked the pass with a quick cover to overcome the crisis.
Lee Kang-in finished his role by replacing Asensio in the 23rd minute of the second half. Asensio immediately took the place of Lee Kang-in as a fake No. 9.
PSG looked for a chance to turn the tables. After Hakimi received the ball in the box in the 36th minute of the second half, his right foot shot, which dribbled directly past the defense, was sharply directed, but it flowed right next to the goal.
PSG seemed to have a chance to turn around just before the end. In the 4th minute of extra time in the second half, Asensio was fouled in the penalty box and a penalty was declared, but the VAR review canceled the penalty. After that, even Marquis' header was blocked by Benitez's defense.
In the end, the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
