KIA manager Lee Bum-ho put Park Chan-ho (striker), Kim Sun-bin (second baseman), Kim Do-young (third baseman), Na Sung-bum (right fielder), Socrates Brito (middle fielder), Choi Hyung-woo (designated hitter), Lee Woo-sung (first baseman), Kim Tae-gun (possession) and Lee Chang-jin (left fielder) in the starting lineup in Game 5 of the 2024 Korean Series against the Samsung Lions at Kia Champions Field in Gwangju on the 28th.
Choi Hyung-woo is back. Choi Hyung-woo, who missed Game 4 against Samsung in Daegu on the 26th due to back pain, returned to the lineup while performing team training normally. He played as the fourth hitter in all three previous games, but he was listed as the sixth hitter on the day.
KIA made up almost the same lineup as Game 4. As Choi Hyung-woo became the designated hitter, Na Sung-beom wore a right field glove, and left fielder Lee Chang-jin will take the ninth batter's place without Choi Won-joon. Park Chan-ho and Kim Sun-bin will form a table setter, and Lee Woo-sung will play first base.
