The Samsung Lions got off to a good start in their first practice game.

In a practice game against Sangmu held at Lions Park in Daegu on the 7th, Samsung won the game 5-0 with 11 hits and stable mound including Kim Young-woong's home run.

Samsung took a 2-0 lead with Diaz's two-run timely hit in the bottom of the first inning with two outs and a second and third base chance made by Kim Ji-chan's infield hit and Koo Ja-wook's double after one out. Samsung, which ran 3-0 with Kim Young-woong's solo shot in the fourth inning, made it 4-0 with Kim Ji-chan's timely hit in the sixth inning with two outs and runners on first and second bases. In the seventh inning, Diaz called in Park Byung-ho, who went to second base with a walk and wild pitch after one out, with a direct double on the left field line.



Top hitter Kim Ji-chan showed off a sharp sense of hitting with multiple hits, one run and one RBI. Koo Ja-wook also maintained a good batting sense with 100% of his on-base hits, 2 hits, 1 walk, and 1 point in 2 at-bats. Diaz played a troubleshooter with two hits and three RBIs in four at-bats. Kim Young-woong was also expected to play the role of the lower hitter with two hits and one RBI in three at-bats, including a home run.

On the mound, a neat relay pitch was played.

Starter Reyes pitched 52 pitches in three innings, allowing three hits, one walk, and four strikeouts to keep the lead. From the fourth inning, Won Tae-in took the mound as his second pitcher and blocked him with one hit, one walk, and four strikeouts in three innings with 54 pitches until the sixth inning. Kim Tae-hoon, Lim Chang-min, and Kim Jae-yoon kept his victory by keeping scoreless in the 7, 8, and 9th innings.



Sangmu defended NC starter Cho Min-seok with seven hits, five strikeouts and three runs, including four innings of home runs.

Heo Jun-hyuk, Kim Jae-woong (1 run), Kim Jung-woon (1 run), and Lee Kang-jun threw one inning each. Park Chan-hyuk was the only one who had three hits in the lineup, which had only five hits and no goals.
