The Korea E-Sports Industry Association will hold an autumn academic conference at Honam University on the 24th



The Korean e-sports Industry Association will hold the 2024 Korean e-sports Industry Association Autumn Conference jointly with Honam University on the 25th under the theme of 「E-sports Industry, How far have we come?」.

The conference, which will be held at the first floor auditorium of Honam University's IT-Square located in Gwangju Metropolitan City, will begin with the opening speech of Song Seok-rok (professor of Kyungdong University) and the welcoming speech of Park Sang-chul, president of Honam University, and more than 100 scholars, experts, government officials, and graduate students from related fields will attend to diagnose the e-sports industry.

As a keynote speech, Chairman Song Seok-rok will discuss the undervalued e-sports industry along with various industrial issues under the theme of 'e-sports industry, how far have we come. Professor Cho Hyun-rae of Yongin University (former head of the Korea Creative Content Agency), who will present as a guest speaker, including institutional issues, will propose a prerequisite for the development of the practical e-sports industry under the theme of 「E-sports Industry as Content」. Finally, Dankook University Professor Kim Se-yoon plans to conduct various analyses, including e-sports facilities and infrastructure, under the theme of 『Analyzing the Performance of the E-Sports Industry』 of local governments (province).




Researchers from 10 universities, including Honam University, Dankook University, Wooseok University, Yongin University, Nambu University, Sangmyung University, Kyunghee University, and Kyungdong University, will participate in the fall academic conference to discuss the e-sports industry. In addition, the researchers' research results consist of 10 oral presentations and one poster. In addition, Sangmyung University Professor Yoo Sang-gun, Nambu University Professor Choi Seung-sik, and Seoil University Professor Heo Gun-sik will participate as debaters.

Song Seok-rok, president of the Korea e-sports Industry Association, said "The e-sports industry is very undervalued in our societyHe emphasized that "systematic research, resolution of prior tasks, and efforts to improve problems at the local government's competition site are needed".
