The Korean Sports Association will hold an academic conference to commemorate the National Sports Festival at Inje University Gimhae Campers from the 10th to the 11th
The Korean Sports Association (Chairman Lee Han-kyung) will hold the 62nd Korean Sports Association Conference to commemorate the 105th National Sports Festival under the theme of 「The Current Status and Future of Local Sports」 at Inje University Gimhae Campus from the 10th to the 11th. The Korean Sports Association held an academic conference every year to commemorate the National Sports Festival, and this year marks the 62nd edition.

The conference will be hosted by the Korean Sports Association and Inje University. The opening ceremony (Professor Kim Young-joo of Sungshin Women's University) begins with the opening speech of Chairman Lee Han-kyung and the welcoming speech of Inje University President Jeon Min-hyun. Culture, Sports and Tourism Minister Yoo In-chon, Gyeongsangnam-do Governor Park Wan-soo, Gimhae Mayor Hong Tae-yong, Gyeongsangnam-do Sports Council President Kim Oh-young, Korea Sports Council President Lee Ki-heung, Korea Sports Promotion Foundation Chairman Cho Hyun-jae, and Korea Sports Association Chairman Chung Jin-wan will give congratulatory remarks. Kim Joo-yeon, an academic director (professor at Yongin University), who headed the preparation committee for the conference, introduced the background of the event, saying, `We want to understand the current status of sports based on the community and discuss the future.'

The academic presentation will be held in three parts on the 10th. The first part of the theme presentation (head of Kang Hyo-min, professor of Kangwon National University) will be based on the theory and practice of creating a sustainable win-win city using the National Sports Festival (Professor Jeong Su-ho of Inje University), consideration of strategies to revitalize daily leisure sports for sustainable regional development (Professor Oh Eung-soo of Dong-A University), the crisis of local extinction and the future of local sports (Professor Kim Sun-hee of Mokpo National University), and the role of school sports in the community (Professor Hong Deok-ki of Gyeongsang National University). After that, Lee Jae-hoon (Daegu Techno Park Metaverse Center), Professor Shin Hong-beom (Gyemyeong University), Professor Kim Min-cheol (Chosun University), and Professor Lee Ju-wook (Chungnam University) will participate in the designation and free discussion (Chairman Lee Chung-young). The second part of the designation announcement (Chairman Kim Joo-yeon, professor of Yongin University) will present the establishment and implementation of good governance in sports organizations (Park Jae-woo, professor of Hanyang University) and support for sports science to improve performance (Hong Sung-chan, professor of Seoul Women's University). In the third part of the thesis presentation (Chairman Lee Hyang-beom, professor at Kyunggi University), excellent doctoral dissertations and sports safety thesis contest papers will be presented. The next day's academic presentation on the 11th will feature oral and poster presentations by 16 sub-disciplinary societies of the Korean Sports Association.

Chairman Lee Han-kyung of the Korean Sports Association said, `We would like to conduct effective discussions considering the application of field to daily leisure, sports clubs, and school sports for the development of local sports.' `We hope that the successful conference will serve as an opportunity to enhance the status of the Korean Sports Association.'
