Korean Youth Judo Wins '3 consecutive Cool Runs' Bronze Medal in Mixed Team at World Championships

At the 2024 World Youth Judo Championships held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan on the 6th (Korea time), South Korea harvested a bronze medal in the mixed team event.
South Korea won 4-2 against Kazakhstan in the first round. Baekdu Mountain, which weighs more than 90kg, won the first round with a foul win, and Yang Ji-min of the 70kg class and Choi Jae-min of the 90kg class induced consecutive foul wins after losing two consecutive games. Lee Hyun-ji, who weighs more than 70 kilograms, then advanced to the second round with a bye.
South Korea, which lost 1-4 to France in the second round, failed to advance to the final, but beat Turkmenistan, a tricky opponent, 4-2 in the consolation match. Han Pan-seung came out three times and won the ticket to the bronze medal match.
The final bronze medal match was against Mongolia. Yang Ji-min of the 70kg class took the first game with a foul win, and Choi Jae-min of the 90kg class succeeded in gaining the upper hand with a single victory by combining half of the waist snatch and half of the pressing.
Lee Hyun-ji, who weighs more than 70 kilograms, then beat Mongolia to secure the bronze medal with one round of waist-sliding and Baekdusan, who weighs more than 100 kilograms, one round of cool two consecutive wins in the highest weight class.
Meanwhile, in the mixed team event, Japan won a gold medal, France won a silver medal, and South Korea took the podium with a smile on its neck with a valuable bronze medal.
