Hanwha Life e-Sports and Gen.G. properly showed the skills of LCK (Korea) No. 1 and No. 2 seeds in the LOL World Cup. And we met again on the way to the quarterfinals.

Hanwha Life defeated the strongest team of LEC (Europe) and hostile G2 in the second round of the '2024 League of Legends World Championship' (Rold Cup) Swiss Stage (round of 16) at Riot Games Arena in Berlin, Germany, from the 4th to the 5th (Korea time), and Gen.G won two consecutive games, defeating the second seed of LPL (China).

In addition, the two teams were decided to face each other in the third round in a match draw held after the second round. Among the two teams that have already won two games, the team that won the third round, which will be held in the best of three games, will go straight to the quarterfinals. The defeated team will record 2 wins and 1 loss, meet the same team and try again to advance to the quarterfinals. After the LCK Summer Final, the international competition will be held again.

D-plus Kia, the LCK's third seed, will also beat LCS' flyquest, winning two consecutive games, and meeting LNG, LPL's two-win team, to advance to the quarterfinals of the best-of-three series. LNG has been on the rise in the second round, beating LPL's No. 1 seed, Bilibili Gaming, in defiance of expectations. D-plus went through a rather easy opponent, meeting Flyquest in the second round after LEC's Fnatic in the first round, but on the way to the quarterfinals, he meets his archrival, the Chinese team, signaling a real battle.

LCK No. 4 seed T1, who lost to TES in the first round, reported his first win in the LOL World Cup, beating Brazil's Payne Gaming in the second round. However, another difficult match is expected in the third round when he meets Billy, who has the same 1 win and 1 loss. T1 met Bilibili twice and lost both times at the international MSI held in May. However, at the e-Sports World Cup held in July, the team beat Billy 2-1 in the semifinals.

D+ and LNG will compete at 9 p.m. on the 5th, and Hanwha Life Insurance and Gen.G. will compete in the third round from 0 p.m. on the 6th. T1's third round match will be held at the same venue at 10 p.m. on the 6th.
