Hanwha Life e-Sports, Gen.G., and D-Plus Kia of LCK (Korea) will play in the second round with a fresh victory from the first game of the LOL World Cup.

T1, the only loser in LCK, will meet the underdog in the second round and aim for a turnaround.

Hanwha Life Insurance, the No. 1 seed in LCK, defeated PSG of PCS (Asia-Pacific), Gen. G defeated Weibo Gaming of LPL (China), and D-Plus defeated Fnatic of LEC (Europe) in the first round of the '2024 League of Legends World Championship' (Rold Cup) held at Riot Games Arena in Berlin, Germany from the 3rd to the 4th (Korea Standard Time).

After the first round, D-plus caught luck again as a result of the match draw. D-Plus' chances of winning two games in a row increased as it met LCS' flyquest, which is considered the weakest among the one-win teams in the second round. However, just as he won the game with difficulty after a rough-and-ready battle against Fnatic, he should not let his guard down because there are many variables in the single-round system.

On the other hand, Gen.G meets LPL's TES, which beat T1 in the first round, and Hanwha Life Insurance is also expected to face G2, which is considered LEC's powerhouse and Korean team killer, in the second round.

T1 will meet Brazil's Payne Gaming in the second round. Payne Gaming is by no means an easy team to play a 33-minute match against G2 in the first round until the middle of the match.

Meanwhile, unlike LCK meeting with other regions until the second round, the LPL, which is expected to compete with LCK for the championship this year, has already begun 'civil war'. Billie Billie Gaming, the No. 1 seed, meets LNG to compete for its second win. Weibo Gaming, the only team among the four LPL teams to lose one, meets LCS' TL and seeks one win.

The second round match will start at 9 p.m. on the 4th in Korean time at the same place and will be held until around 5 a.m. on the 5th.
